This project is being moved here from another forum, so i'll be posting the concept here as it was originally presented by Ollie along with the riffs we've been working on.

The follwing is copied and pasted from Ollie's original post
Trephesian Creation In the beginning, there was naught but the Nameless. The Nameless existed for many eons until boredom took hold, and he created an eternal canvas of sands on which to paint the things of his musings. In an attempt to vary the scape, the Nameless created water, the element on which all life must rely. This amused him for a time, and then this, too began to bore him. After great though, Trephes created a woman of great beauty, and imbued certain aspects of his semblance into her being. She became the Lady of Dreams and Hope, Lirneira.
Lirneira was a creature of imagination, playing in the sun and bathing in the waters of the river which ran its course through her chose land. She dreamed of many things, whimsical, practical, beautiful, and otherwise, and longed desperately to bring them into being. Alas, Lirneira lacked the power.
The Nameless, sensing her frustration and lonesome, created a second child, Galan. Galan was given the gift of form, and he revelled and played in the sands. For a time, he tried his hand at creation, but lacked imagination. Stones and senseless baubles were all that came of him. One day, as Galan wandered amongst the lands, he came upon a river in which bathed Lirneira. She was the most beautiful thing that Galan had ever seen, and he sought to take her hand.
As Lirneira waded forth from the waters, Galan awaited her, and asked for her hand in marriage. Lirneira was disgusted but his filth and turned him away. Galan was devestated, but not deterred, and he returned to the river each day, always with the same request, and always receiving the same result.
One day, as Lirneira once again waded forth from the waters, Galan approached wearing a large smile, hands behind his back. Before Lirneira could speak, he revealed to her a single red rose. Lirneira was stricken without voice and stared at the flower for a time before she was able to speak.
"From where has this come?"
"My heart," Galan replied.
Realization dawned upon Lirneira's features, understanding that Galan possessed the power for which she had longed. She thought for a moment, and spoke again.
"Galan, I will take your hand in wedlock on a single condition," she said.
Galan replied, "Anything."
"Wade into the waters of the river, and wash the refuse and filth of the sands from your body. Do this, and we shall be wed."
Galan spoke not another word, instead taking Lirneira's hand in his, placing within her fingers the rose. He ran directly for the waters, diving in. As he emerged, and approached Lirneira once more, she was surprised to find him quite beautiful. And on that day, the children of Trephes (this is a Dantho-Trephesian word that essentially means "without a name", "nameless", or in a stretch "untitled.") wed.
For many ages, the two existed together in happiness, creating many things. They first created plants, and the first animals. They created a beautiful forest valley, at the center of which was an enourmous hollow tree. This tree became their home. They next created the first of the sentient races, Venapri (dragons), Wasinko (dolphins), Kalanu (wolves), and Pripu (phoenixeseses). When their work was at pause, they celebrated, mating. This was the conception of a child called Arienril who danced and played among the flowers.
The ages passed, and the creations continued, later spawning two new races, the Humans, and the Dantheans (which are really both humans, but the Dantheans lived a different lifestyle, the one on which my religion is based. Humans, in later texts are referred to as Sebrosians). Arienril befriended the Kalanu, and with them taught the Dantheans the Way, and lived amongst them, bringing happiness to the people.
Seeing that things were still well, Lirneira and Galan once again mated, this time spawning Gheist. Gheist was a plague, and took pleasure in destroying all that his lineage created. Lirneira, fearing that the problem had arisen from Galan, banished both her child and her husband from the valley, breaking the bond of wedlock. In her sadness, the valley fell into an eternal winter, and the goddess holed herself up within the hollow tree, taking to a life of dark studies. In time, she became Death. She became Decay (Not only is this a huge turning point for the religion, as we basically traded Dreams and Hope for Death and Decay, but I find it hilarious because of Evanescence. "Look for meeee in the white forest, hiiiiiding in a hollow treeeee. Come find me.").

edit: sorry i attached the wrong version of Kirage here. The version in this post is the electric version i came up with from Ollie's acoustic original. I dont think we'll use mine at allHere's is the riffage Ollie first submitted. I really dig the exotic vibe the g-string pull-off adds to this, and I would like to make this the first track on the concept. Basically the acoustic guitar will be the main feature but we can also sequence in some classical strings and stuff. all instrumental is the way to go i think. Also a title i've had in my head is "Sandweaver", referring to the Nameless--and this song can represent the creation of the sands Attachments:

since you like avenged so damn much i wrote some stuff in their style that you might dig for one of the tracks. the rhythm has that punk vibe they do and the lead playing is very melodic and girl woo-ing (i felt like such a wuss playing it so you'll probably dig it! XD).
Anyway i'll record it tonight or later. Lemme know what you think about the reefer solo idea. i'm thinking about extending it or having like a second solo come in right after it which you can compose and then i'll electrify it on my end using a different guitar tone. or it can be an acoustic solo over that heavy rhythm....or the whole song can suddenly go acoustic before the big finale

The reefer solo is good on a technical level, but I'm not feeling it. I like it and all, but I think it should be dumbed down a bit.

hm.....i'll mess around with it some more tonight. I think currently it sounds more High On Fire-ish but if i went for something more Brent Hinds style it would have that more emotional vibe to it.
